They are seeking a Financial Controller to manage financial operations for a portfolio of industrial services companies, focusing on full accounting cycle management, financial reporting, and process improvement. Responsibilities β’ Serve as a trusted advisor to multiple restaurant and retail business presidents, tailoring financial insights to their operational needs β’ Leverage your hands-on experience in food service and retail operations to guide cost control, menu or product margin analysis, vendor management, and inventory forecasting β’ Translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations that support both short- and long-term strategic decisions β’ Lead full-cycle accounting operations including A/P, A/R, GL, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and payroll β’ Manage month-end and year-end closes, including reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and deferred revenue adjustments β’ Oversee inventory accounting and food/product costing, ensuring accurate valuation and minimizing waste or shrinkage β’ Maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast and recommend solutions to optimize working capital β’ Prepare trial balances, variance analyses, and financial reporting dashboards using OneStream or similar platforms β’ Collaborate with company leadership on budgets, quarterly planning, and long-term strategic initiatives β’ Deliver KPIs that reflect operational performance, including food cost %, labor cost %, sales per square foot, and margin trends β’ Identify and implement process improvements across accounting systems, POS integrations, and reporting workflows β’ Assist in developing internal controls and documenting financial procedures specific to restaurant and retail environments β’ Streamline inventory management practices, including tracking perishable goods, multi-location stock, and seasonal adjustments Skills β’ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field β’ 5+ years of experience in a Controller or Senior Accounting role β’ Proven experience in the industrial services industry β’ Background in small to medium-sized businesses β’ Tech-savvy and resourceful; comfortable in remote, fast-moving environments β’ Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, POS systems, and Excel β’ Working knowledge of US GAAP β’ CPA preferred β’ Fractional or outsourced accounting experience a plus Benefits β’ Competitive salary β’ Medical, dental, and vision insurance β 100% employer-paid for employees (and dependents on most plans) β’ 15 vacation days β’ 19 company holidays β’ 5 sick days β’ 1 floating holiday of your choice β’ Ongoing development through access to Teamsharesβ experts in small business accounting and finance β’ The opportunity to support real employee ownership in Americaβs small businesses Company Overview β’ My Financial Partner provides financial analysis, reporting, and compliance services for business owners.
