Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Agency is seeking Hmong language specialists to contribute to the development of AI language models. The role involves analyzing Hmong grammar and syntax to improve AI training data and model performance.
Responsibilities
- Converse with the model on language scenarios
- Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness
- Capture reproducible error traces
- Suggest improvements to our prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
Skills
- Hmong language expertise
- Knowledge of Hmong grammar, syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, and pragmatics
- Ability to challenge advanced language models on topics like verb conjugation, case system (nominative, accusative, dative, genitive), word order, declensions, gender, and stylistic variation
- Experience in documenting failure modes of language models
- Bachelor's degree in Hmong language, linguistics, or a closely related field
- Peer-reviewed publications
- Teaching experience
- Hands-on linguistic analysis projects
- Clear, metacognitive communication skills
