PETA is an organization dedicated to animal rights, and they are seeking a part-time weekend Social Media Correspondent to enhance their social media presence. The role involves responding to animal emergencies, encouraging veganism, and managing interactions with supporters across various platforms. Responsibilities β’ Helping save animals is PETA's biggest priority. You will monitor incoming comments on PETA's social media accounts for animal emergencies and questions regarding PETA's biggest issues and respond as appropriate. β’ You'll also be expected to perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor. Skills β’ You must have a minimum of one year of experience in an office environment and previous marketing experience. β’ Willingness and availability to work Saturday and Sunday (6 hours each day). β’ Your replies will be potentially seen by thousands of people so you must have excellent writing skills. β’ You must have excellent organizational and computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software. β’ You must know PETA campaigns and animal rights issues inside and out. β’ You must support PETA's philosophy and have the ability to advocate our positions on issues professionally. β’ You must have the proven ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines. β’ You'll be working quickly and navigating a large organization with many goals. We need a go-getter with a passion to work both independently and as part of a team. Education Requirements β’ High school diploma or GED.
