Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. America On Tech (AOT) is a national nonprofit preparing the next generation of technology leaders from underestimated communities. They are seeking an experienced curriculum consultant to transform their existing 50-hour Intro to Artificial Intelligence curriculum into a flexible, train-the-trainer model that empowers educators to deliver high-quality AI education. Responsibilities β’ Transform the existing 50-hour curriculum to be: β’ Modular and Flexible: Easily adapted for different implementation contexts (in-person, hybrid, virtual) across diverse partner organizations β’ Self-Contained: Educators can deliver with minimal ongoing AOT support, enabling sustainable program implementation β’ Pedagogically Sound: Includes detailed facilitation notes, differentiation strategies, and engagement techniques bearing in mind that some who will deliver this curriculum will NOT have technical backgrounds β’ Assessment-Rich: Pre/post assessments, formative checks, project rubrics aligned with learning objectives β’ Update all 12 lessons with current AI tools, examples, and ethical considerations β’ Update comprehensive educator guides for each lesson including: β’ Learning objectives and standards alignment β’ Timing and pacing recommendations β’ Facilitation notes and teaching tips β’ Common student misconceptions and how to address them β’ Discussion prompts and sample responses β’ Extension activities for advanced learners β’ Scaffolding strategies for struggling students β’ Update project-based learning guides with clear rubrics β’ Update student workbooks/handouts for all lessons β’ Update pre/post assessments measuring AI literacy growth β’ Update Google Classroom templates with all materials β’ Ensure accessibility compliance (screen readers, alternative formats) β’ Content Areas to Address: β’ AI fundamentals and terminology β’ Machine learning basics β’ Generative AI tools (ChatGPT, image generation, etc.) β’ Data literacy and algorithmic bias β’ AI ethics and responsible use β’ Prompt engineering and AI evaluation β’ Real-world AI applications across industries β’ Career pathways in AI and adjacent fields β’ Develop comprehensive materials for training educators to deliver the curriculum: β’ Training Academy Content (for week-long virtual intensive) β’ Day-by-day agenda and session plans (5 days total) β’ Presentation slides for each training session β’ Hands-on practice activities for educators β’ Facilitation practice protocols and observation rubrics β’ AI concepts deep-dive modules β’ Pedagogical approach training materials β’ Differentiation and engagement strategy guides β’ Classroom management for tech-based learning β’ Assessment and data collection protocols β’ Certification Materials β’ Competency-based certification exam (50-75 questions & portfolio of projects) β’ Answer key and scoring rubric β’ Study guide for educators β’ Certification standards and requirements β’ Implementation Toolkits β’ Sample program schedules (various formats: after-school, summer programs, virtual/in-person) β’ Technology setup guides and checklists (Google Classroom, PoE platform) β’ Troubleshooting guides for common issues β’ Pacing calendars for different delivery models β’ Data collection and reporting templates β’ Onboarding toolkit for new partner organizations β’ Ongoing Support Resources β’ Office hours discussion guide and FAQs β’ Educator community facilitation guide β’ Peer learning activity templates β’ Monthly check-in protocols β’ Mid-program coaching conversation guide β’ Quality monitoring and program fidelity frameworks Skills β’ 5+ years developing secondary or youth-focused curriculum, preferably in STEM/computer science β’ Demonstrated experience creating educator professional development programs β’ Strong understanding of current AI tools, concepts, and ethical considerations (formal AI credentials not required) β’ Experience designing curriculum for underestimated students β’ Expertise in creating valid and reliable assessments aligned with learning objectives β’ Prior work with youth-serving nonprofits β’ Experience with project-based learning pedagogies β’ Familiarity with digital learning platforms (Google Classroom, learning management systems) β’ Experience creating modular, scalable curriculum products β’ Background in instructional design or educational technology Company Overview β’ America On Tech (AOT) is a national nonprofit preparing the next generation of technology leaders from underestimated communities.
