We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the development and execution of data-driven solutions for our Client Experience team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems, leveraging your expertise in data engineering, data science, and business intelligence.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the methodology and execution of incorporating new datasets to drive business insights and decision-making. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing scalable data pipelines and architectures
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions
- Building and maintaining large-scale data systems, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools
- Developing and implementing data quality and data governance processes
- Providing ad-hoc reporting and data analysis to support business decision-making
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop effective, user-friendly applications, reports, and dashboards using BI tools like Microstrategy and SAS (50%)
- Collaborate with leaders to identify needs and build requirements, providing solutions by building tools, reports, and predictive models (25%)
- Research and report best practices and standards for using our BI tools, providing insights on industry trends (25%)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Master's degree in SQL (preferably BigQuery)
- Solid knowledge of Python and Wind stream
- Experience with data stitching processes and moving data between platforms
- Strong ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
- Retail industry experience is preferred
