They are seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Responsibilities β’ Partner with the Payroll Specialist to process end-to-end payroll, including tax changes, deductions, retro pay, bonuses, and off-cycle adjustments. Serve as backup to process payroll when the Payroll Specialist is on leave β’ Manage federal, state, and local payroll compliance, including tax registrations, filings, quarterly employment tax reconciliations, and responding to agency notices β’ Manage state-specific leave programs (e.g., Family and Medical Leave) and workersβ compensation, and bi-monthly 401k loan administrations β’ Support the month-end close by preparing payroll-related reports and accounting entries, calculating allocated costs, and reconciling payroll balance sheet reconciliations β’ Ensure accurate onboarding of new hires in ADP with correct allocations and GL coding β’ Conduct monthly payroll audits to confirm accuracy of pay registers, taxes, 401(k), overtime, holiday pay, and bonus tax rates β’ Collaborate with People Operations to address employee payroll questions and ensure timely, accurate processing of updates β’ Advise People Ops on payroll best practices in partnership with our payroll provider β’ Manage year-end payroll tasks, including W-2s, financial audits, and 401k audits β’ Identify and implement payroll process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives Skills β’ Minimum 5 years experience of full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing experience, ideally in a high-growth or hospitality environment β’ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required β’ Strong knowledge of payroll compliance: federal, state, and local taxes, service charges, tip reporting, and leave laws β’ Proficient with ADP Workforce Now, Netsuite, Excel, and Google Suite; able to troubleshoot and automate workflows β’ Solid understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and cost allocations to support month-end close β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail and a sense of urgency around deadlines β’ Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-changing environment β’ Communicates payroll and accounting concepts clearly across technical and non-technical teams β’ A team player who values collaboration, continuous improvement, and confidentiality in handling sensitive data Benefits β’ Remote Work: With flexibility as a core value, and over three-quarters of the team working remotely, Kasa employees are able to work from anywhere! β’ Kasa Travel Credit: We love to travel!
