Job Details: β€’ Hiring Organization: Disney β€’ Post Name: Video Operator β€’ Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree β€’ Industry: Private β€’ Employment Type: Full-time β€’ Work Hours: 8 hours β€’ Salary: $27/hour β€’ Location: Connecticut, USA Job Description: β€’ Painting and shading cameras β€’ Screening, troubleshooting, and maintaining the technical operations of our remote events β€’ Providing technical engineering support for the preparation, planning, and execution of a wide variety of events Key Responsibilities: β€’ Adjusting video levels, black/white balance, and color balance between all cameras β€’ Switching and routing video, working with the video team to set up screens for talent and the show β€’ Troubleshooting any video issues, including camera, cabling, lens, and other technical concerns β€’ Managing and organizing remote compound video, fiber optic cable, and source lists β€’ Coordinating, planning, and developing workflows with the support of Events and Production partners β€’ Introduction to system design and integration, including video path, fiber-connected systems, digital video compression and transmission protocols, computer networking, Master Control facilities, and hub and storage systems Requirements: β€’ Strong knowledge of live production equipment operations β€’ Proficient in reading and operating a waveform/vectorscope (graphics - SDI and IP, HD, UHD, and HDR) β€’ Managing overall camera look and shading requirements β€’ Monitoring and adjusting signals and screens as needed β€’ Setting up, operating, and striking video equipment on location as needed β€’ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills using technical expertise and solid technical tools to effectively communicate issues and solutions β€’ Flexibility to travel and work on Saturdays, Sundays, and events as scheduled and show needs require Preferred Qualifications: β€’ Demonstrated strong knowledge of broadcast equipment and remote production show needs β€’ Knowledge of fiber optic systems and cabling If you're a motivated individual ready to contribute to a thriving team, we encourage you to apply now!
