This key role of Senior Manager, Drop Ship Operations position is a key leader in our Supply Chain Organization, that will be responsible for leading, developing and supporting our remote team that support our Drop Ship Supplier partners directly while collaborating with our Merchandizing, Inventory, Buying and Supply Chain teams. You will partner with and represent Nordstrom stakeholders in cross-functional efforts to support the Drop Ship channel strategy. The role is complex and will give you the opportunity to influence and drive the standardization and support to best service our ecommerce customer orders via this growing channel. A day in the life... • Develop and execute strategic roadmap to improve supplier performance, customer experience, cost optimization, supplier fulfillment network optimization and stakeholder management • Establish the vision for Drop Ship Operations organization to ensure team and internal partner alignment • Manage a team responsible for day-to-day operational and technical order issues impacting delivery speed to customer and customer experience on ecommerce orders • Support team by working with external software partners, Product, Technology and Analytics to provide the right tools for supplier specialists to identify vendor performance trends through reporting to increase speed to deliver and improve customer delivery experience • Identify KPIs needed for execution of a data driven team strategy and work with Analytics team to plan, design and execute on reporting • Review performance standards from Drop Ship Suppliers across key metrics that impact customer experience to identify opportunities to improve • Partner with team and Business Process Specialist to create, document and deliver scalable business processes the team can repeat across all suppliers for consistency and greater efficiency • Deploy a scalable and repeatable events playbook for successful execution of scaled events across this key channel • Partner across functions, building relationships that allow you to influence the strategy, plans and work to improve customer value through service, experience, availability, quality, and cost • Lead, coach, develop, and mentor team to deliver on key metrics and measurable improvements • Create a winning culture with growth mindset You own this if you have… • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management or equivalent • 8+ years’ experience in Engineering/Operations/Distribution/Fulfillment, Program Management, and/or Logistics • Proven ability to problem-solve, drive change, and lead through influence and collaboration • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • A willingness to partner across all dimensions of Nordstrom to influence, drive, and deliver change • Strong business acumen. Experience working with P&L data to drive bottom-line contributions • Strong verbal and written communications skills • Ability to travel 15% of the time; potential to increase based on business needs • Curiosity around new ways of working that will unlock potential for a team • Basic use of Tableau or other BI analytics software • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills • Proven ability to drive and own complex business processed without the need for consistent direction We’ve got you covered… Our employees are our most important asset and that’s reflected in our benefits.
