- *Senior Performance Scriptwriter**
to help build and scale high-performing short-form content across our brand.
This is one of the most important hires we’ve made.
We are a social-media-driven company, and scriptwriting is a core growth function inside the business.
- You will own how we:
- Create high-performing script ideas
- Develop strong hooks and angles
- Turn product insights into short-form content that performs
You’ll work closely with the co-founder and creative strategist, and your focus will be on writing scripts and generating ideas for content across BlackMask’s current and upcoming product lineup.

- *Key Responsibilities**
- *Scriptwriting**
- Write short-form scripts for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Create scripts that grab attention quickly and keep people watching
- Adapt writing across different short-form formats and content styles
- *Hooks & Angles**
- Develop strong hooks that fit the platform and stop the scroll
- Come up with fresh creative angles around products, problems, and audience pain points
- Generate multiple concepts instead of relying on one idea at a time
- *Creative Ideas**
- Help develop content ideas that can turn into winning short-form videos
- Contribute ideas for brand content and related creator/founder content
- Turn product insights into clear, compelling concepts people actually want to watch
- *Performance-Driven Iteration**
- Improve scripts and ideas based on what performs
- Continuously refine concepts, hooks, and structures
- Think in terms of performance, not just creativity
- *Collaboration**
- Work closely with the co-founder and creative strategist
- Help strengthen the creative system through better ideas and better scripts
- Contribute to a faster, stronger pipeline of performance content
- *What We’re Looking For**
This is not a typical content writer role.
You must be able to write short-form content at a very high level.
- You should have
- Elite short-form scriptwriting ability
- Strong instincts for hooks, pacing, attention, and performance
- The ability to come up with original concepts, not just rewrite what already exists
- A clear understanding of what makes short-form content break out
- A fast, adaptable, highly creative mindset
- A strong performance-driven mentality
- Real proof of work you personally contributed to
- Strong taste in short-form content
We care more about actual ability and real work than years of experience.
- There is no fixed years requirement. We want proof of elite work.

- Experience with e-commerce
- Experience with creator-led brands
- Experience with social-first businesses
- Experience writing scripts tied to performance content

- You only have generic copywriting experience without strong short-form work
- You can’t show real examples of content you personally helped create
- You rely on sounding polished instead of writing for performance
- You struggle to generate strong hooks, angles, and ideas consistently
- You are better at talking about content than actually creating winning scripts
- You need heavy structure and slow timelines to produce good work
