The Senior Portfolio Manager will work closely with the Portfolio Management, Portfolio Strategy and Family Office Services teams to deliver tailored investment solutions on behalf of ultra-high net worth and family office clients. They will oversee trading activities, asset allocation, and portfolio performance monitoring, ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory standards. This role requires strong client service skills, financial acumen, and the ability to lead within a fast-paced environment. The Senior Portfolio Manager will also contribute to investment strategies, collaborate on financial planning, and represent the firm's core values: Integrity, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Excellence, and Community. • Oversee and manage client investment accounts for ultra-high net worth and family office clients, partnering with the Director of Portfolio Management and Family Office Services team to design, implement, and maintain customized portfolio strategies, including asset allocation, rebalancing, and trade execution through the firm’s order management system. • Monitor portfolio risk exposures, concentration limits, and liquidity profiles, proactively identifying and addressing risks to ensure portfolios remain aligned with client objectives and firm investment guidelines. • Generate, analyze, and interpret portfolio performance reports, providing actionable insights on results, risks, and market conditions to financial advisors, clients, and internal stakeholders. • Partner with the Compliance team to ensure trading activity, documentation, and portfolio management practices adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal policies, serving as a point of escalation for complex compliance matters. • Work with financial advisors and members of the Family Office Services team to develop and evaluate customized investment proposals and recommendations, ensuring alignment with client objectives and broader wealth planning strategies. • Maintain deep awareness of market trends, economic conditions, and investment opportunities, proactively adjusting portfolio strategies to enhance returns, manage risk, and support client long-term objectives. • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of portfolio management processes, investment guidelines, and best practices to support scalability and consistency across Family Office Services clients. • Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to junior portfolio management staff, providing guidance on portfolio construction, trading, and client service best practices. • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. • CFA designation required • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the investment management field, with a focus on portfolio management, securities trading, and financial planning. • Strong proficiency in portfolio management software (e.g., Tamarac) and financial platforms such as Schwab and Fidelity. Advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with programming or data analysis tools, are a plus. • In-depth knowledge of financial markets, asset classes, portfolio construction, and investment strategies, with a strong interest in wealth management and financial planning. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively to clients and stakeholders. • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team. Experience leading and mentoring junior staff is preferred. • High degree of accuracy, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a high-pressure environment. • Ability to work autonomously, make informed decisions, and exercise discretion without direct supervision.
