Opening: Senior Structural Engineer
Location: Remote (Alaska, Pacific Northwest or Midwest)
Pay: $100,000 to $120,000 annually to start with strong salary advancement opportunity

They are looking to bring on a Senior Structural Engineer who can provide technical leadership, support structural design development, and help maintain high engineering standards across projects.
This role offers the flexibility of remote work while collaborating closely with a team operating primarily in the Pacific and Central time zones.

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural analysis, design coordination, and technical review across multiple projects. This role will work closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure structural systems are safe, efficient, and aligned with project design requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring strong structural engineering expertise, problem solving ability, and the ability to guide technical decisions throughout the design and documentation process.

Lead structural design and analysis for a variety of building projects
Develop and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications
Coordinate structural systems with architectural and multidisciplinary design teams
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and engineering standards
Support the development of construction documentation and technical details
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff
Assist with design problem solving and project coordination throughout development phases

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
Professional Engineering licensure required
Alaska PE license or willingness to obtain Alaska licensure with company assistance
Ability to pass a cold climate structural design evaluation related to Alaska conditions
Strong understanding of structural analysis, building codes, and construction methods
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams
Strong communication and technical coordination skills

BENEFITS:
Starting salary between $100,000 and $120,000 annually, depending on experience
Opportunity for salary advancement and long term growth
Initial 1099 contract period for the first 90 days, followed by transition to employee status
Full employee benefits available after the contract period
Remote position open to candidates located in Alaska, the Pacific Northwest or Midwest
