SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER & CONTENT CREATOR

Location: Remote (must be based in United States)

Type: Contract (40 hrs/week)

Rate: $25/hr

ABOUT LEGENDS

We’ve built the world’s first confidence-training app for kids! How cool is that? Think Duolingo but for confidence and social-emotional learning. Here’s how it works: every day, kids and parents watch a short ~5 minute story about a legendary person, then complete a research-backed activity designed to train up their self-concept, self-compassion, and self-belief.

THE ROLE

We're incredibly fast, and need a social-first team member who represents what we stand for, is on top of the trends, and has a million ideas for viral storytelling. We want to spread the word about confidence as a trainable skill!

We are looking to revive our Instagram account where we’re pretty sure you can actually hear crickets if you tap the profile right now. The truth is, we have not prioritized our organic content for the last few months. We are a tiny team, and Legends has needed more attention in the program, product, and paid marketing space. We’re ready to kick it back up a notch, and we need someone who can keep the page fun, pretty, and consistent!

We're open to any and all ideas. In fact, we expect you to have 'em! Ever see those themed accounts on Instagram and TikTok? Those accounts that literally only exist to repost cute golden retriever videos? We want someone who can take on managing accounts like that - but not for cute puppy content—parenting content for families that want to raise more confident kids! And because we’re marketing to parents (age 30-45ish), we’ll also be posting on Facebook… so if you’re too cool for Facebook, see ya’.

You’re chronically online, love staying on trends (you live for the hits… but can brush off the flops, too)
Generative AI makes you excited and creative, not doom and gloom
Silently judge messy grids with no clear branding guidelines (because yeah, you should)
Play around on Canva or Figmajust because you feel like it
Easily spot embarrassingly botched AI images and videos (and can write a prompt to create a much better one)
Take pride in being the reliable person who gets the post up before anyone else even remembers it’s due
You have dreams of making things that drive the narrative and conversation online, but just need someone to ★ believe in you ★
You care about the future of this generation’s kids, and want to have an impact on building them up

Create AI Images using different image models (but Nano Banana is our fav)
Use our templates in Figma to create Instagram posts
Create and design original posts in Figma, Canva, etc.
Use AI to write copy and captions for posts, or you can write them yourself if you have ★ talent ★
Publish daily posts in real-time to “warm up” several new Instagram accounts (we can start scheduling posts in Later… later)
Publish weekly posts on our Legends Instagram account to keep a presence
Periodically send us basic reports of engagement stats, post performance… and feel free to make suggestions for the team based on results
Upload, label, and organize assets so the team can actually find them!

A “normal” job. We’re fully remote, there’s no watercooler talk, and we are decidedly low drama. The bottom line: we hope you love the idea of cool coworkers, but won’t be too sad about not stepping into an office.
A cash grab. We appreciate a good hustle, but please care about what you’re doing. We want you to want to be here! Nobody should force themselves to work anywhere they don’t want to work, and it will show if that’s the case.
A place for people who don’t care about the wellbeing of families and kids. Literally our entire mission is to help kids be their best selves, and support parents in the process. That means we cater our content toward families with many different needs and many different abilities. If you’re not willing to be supportive of that environment, shoo!
An anti-AI movement. Listen, we understand the pushback with AI. But it’s a huge creative tool for us, and we like to think we use it responsibly. You must be on board with using AI - we are not in the mood for the drama.

Flexible and remote. As long as you’re located in the US, you can work from anywhere, any time, as long as you get your work done

Tools: Figma, Canva, CapCut, Photoshop or photoshop-adjacent tools, ChatGPT, Higgsfield AI, ElevenLabs, Slack, Google Drive apps, Later, Meta Business Suite. We use Linear for project management, which we can show you how to use if you’re unfamiliar.
