Job Description:
Our client located in Augusta, ME has an immediate need for a SQL Server Reporting Developer to join their team. This role is responsible for developing reports/queries in SQL management and visual reporting studio associated with an Evergreen Release and documenting the functional requirements, design and implementation of reporting needs associated with a planned system enhancement for a new program (Lifespan waiver). Report development includes documenting report design which includes mapping user interface fields/values to the data system’s schema and table documentation. Report deliverables include the creation of re-occurring subscriptions, intuitive self-service reports in the user interface and the creation of visual studio report templates for use by other reporting system users. The SQL Server Reporting Developer will also be expected to assist with completing time-sensitive ad-hoc data requests for information not accessible to users via the user interface. Experience with analytic reporting tools, like Tableau Server a plus.
- Responsibilities
- Evaluate functional requirements and develop program documentation for reports
- Develop and validate new reports in SQL Server Report Studio
- Assist with report development, promoting self-service reporting
- Converts scientific, engineering, and other technical problem formulations to formats that can be processed by computer.
- Resolves symbolic formulations, prepares flowcharts and block diagrams, and encodes resultant equations for processing by applying extensive knowledge of branch of science, engineering, or advanced mathematics, such as differential equations or numerical analysis, and understanding of capabilities and limitations of computer.
- Confers with other business and technical personnel to resolve problems of intent, inaccuracy, or feasibility of computer processing.
- Works with necessary personnel to determine if modifications are necessary with interested personnel to determine necessity for modifications or enhancements.
- Leverages excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop new business process and programming solutions as directed by business and technical stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Application modernization - rewrite existing codebase such that rendered HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are W3C standards compliant for Internet browsers.
- Experience rewriting existing codebase such that rendered HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are compliant with Federal requirements mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Experience with: Eclipse, Java, WebLogic; Must be very familiar with Eclipse Kepler, as well as Java 6+, in conjunction with WebLogic server 11g.
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Must have advanced knowledge of HTML4/5, CSS3, JavaScript for W3C standards compliance.
- Database system tools experience: Toad for Oracle, Oracle v11g - Must be familiar with Toad for Oracle developer suite, version 11.6+ (we currently use 12.1), including Toad SQL Optimizer.
- Experience with Agile or other related project management frameworks
