Position Overview
LB Engineering is looking for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida to join our team. This is a fully remote role built for someone who can take ownership of projects and run with them.

If you need your hand held every day this isn’t for you. If you want to own your work and run projects, you’ll do great here.

Whether you are newly licensed or more experienced, the expectation is the same you manage your work, hit deadlines, and communicate clearly without constant oversight.

You’ll work directly with leadership and be part of a fast moving team delivering structural engineering across a wide range of projects.

Responsibilities
Lead structural engineering projects from concept through completion
Serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projects
Review, sign, and seal structural plans, calculations, and deliverables
Design and analyze structures across residential, commercial, and institutional projects
Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and construction documents
Provide redlines and direction to drafters and EITs
Perform quality control and follow internal standards
Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal team
Stay on top of scope, schedule, and budget
Jump on calls as needed and represent the firm well
Support and mentor junior staff where applicable
Manage multiple projects at once and hit deadlines
Ensure compliance with Florida Building Code and applicable standards

Requirements (Must Have)
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida
Ability to manage projects with minimal oversight
Comfortable taking responsibility for sign and seal work
Strong redlining and QC experience
Clear communication with clients and consultants
Consistently hits deadlines
Organized, accountable, and detail oriented
Self starter who thrives in a fast paced environment

Not entry level (must have PE license)
Not for someone who needs constant direction or heavy hand holding
Not a training only position
