Organization: Mercor Position: Systems Software Engineer (C++/Rust) Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $60-$150 per hour Location: Remote Duration: 1 month Commitment: 10–40 hours/week, flexible and asynchronous Role Responsibilities: (Training support will be provided) • Develop and validate coding benchmarks in C++/Rust with a focus on object-oriented design principles. • Curate tasks, solutions, and test suites from real-world repositories. • Ensure benchmarks include robust unit and integration tests for solution verification. • Debug, optimize, and document benchmark code to ensure reliability and reproducibility. • Provide structured feedback on solution clarity and adherence to systems engineering best practices. Requirements: • Strong experience as a systems engineer at a top-tier tech company or a US national lab. • Strong proficiency in C++/Rust. • Experience with debugging, testing, and validating mobile applications. • Attention to detail and ability to communicate technical reasoning clearly.
