Job Description

Hydro One is the largest electricity transmission and distribution provider in Ontario, serving nearly 1.5 million customers. They are seeking a Talent Acquisition Assistant to provide support in recruitment processes, assist in drafting offer letters, and coordinate various hiring events.


Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent, timely, and accurate information to employees and managers in accordance with job advertisements and relevant provisions of the collective agreement
  • Review pending requisitions for accurate information, and prepare them to be posted
  • Assist Talent Acquisition Consultants in drafting offer letters
  • Prepare and distribute career postings and other ad hoc communications regarding updates in the recruitment process or job advertisements
  • Assist in coordinating various events (co-op tour, co-op orientation, etc)
  • Schedule interviews for hiring managers and candidates
  • Provide support in mass hires by managing the job advertisements, preparing spreadsheets and coordinating and maintaining consistent communication with the Line of Business
  • Initiate background checks for external candidates and follow up for further documentation or information if required
  • Provide technical support for the relevant Talent Acquisition modules to Hiring Managers and the Talent Acquisition department
  • Provide other ad hoc support to the Talent Acquisition department as it pertains to the recruitment cycle

Skills

  • Post Secondary education, strong interest in Talent Acquisition
  • 1-3 years' of relevant experience
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, be flexible and adapt to change
  • Results oriented, with the ability to think analytically and question the status quo
  • Working experience with ATS/HRIS (SuccessFactors), SAP, ServiceNow
  • Experience in a unionized environment is an asset
