We are now seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Design Specialist/Writer (Data Analyst) to join our team remotely.
About the Position
The Technical Design Specialist/Writer (Data Analyst) will play a crucial role in supporting the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA), Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G9 (ODCS, G9), Enterprise Architecture (EA) - Specialized Design and Compliance Support Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing reliable and timely Information Technology (IT) services to assist the ODCS, G-9 directorates and the Army-wide installations enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and production of technical and business analysis products, including drafting substantive narratives for transformation initiatives and rendering technical illustrations for architecture scenarios
- Technical modeling, data modeling, and analysis to develop detailed recommendations for enhancing existing architecture
- Providing compliance support and ensuring all deliverables contribute to the overall modernization and optimization goals of the organization
- Creating dimensional images, storyboard sketches, and designs covering Installation Management capability areas
- Delivering design concepts, layouts, and mechanicals within 15 workdays from initial tasking for a range of printed and electronic materials
- Supporting the electronic and print production of select business system products (DODAF Viewpoints and Models)
- Providing input into the contractor Monthly Status Report (MSR)
- Collecting and assessing complex data systems and programs in support of management or customer requests
- Validating data for completeness and accuracy based on project guidelines
- Developing and executing standard or custom queries or reports to retrieve data as required
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years' experience performing similar work
- An active Public Trust clearance or above
- Experience in creating technical documentation or design specifications for IT systems or projects
- The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documents and diagrams
- Knowledge and understanding of data modeling, data structure concepts, business process re-engineering, and enterprise architecture
Nice-to-Haves
- Ability to provide ad-hoc on-site support at the Pentagon as required by the government
