Demand Planner (S&OP) – Contract
Industry: Chemical Manufacturing (Food & Beverage focus)
Location: Remote (Team based in NYC/NJ)
Duration: 3 month temp
Pay Rate: $38–$48/hour
Hours: 9am-5pm EST
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Demand Planner to support North America Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) for a chemical manufacturing organization serving the Food & Beverage market. This role will own demand forecasting activities, partner closely with Sales and Operations, and ensure alignment between demand and supply plans.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly S&OP demand planning for assigned products/customers
- Own and maintain demand forecasts in planning and ERP systems (ForecastPro, Colibri, SAP)
- Analyze trends, seasonality, variances, and pipeline activity to improve forecast accuracy
- Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to align forecasts with customer behavior and orders
- Identify risks and opportunities related to capacity, inventory, and service levels
- Prepare forecast accuracy reports, KPIs, and support supply chain initiatives
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of demand planning or supply chain planning experience
- 3+ years of S&OP experience
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs; macros a plus)
- Experience with forecasting tools (ForecastPro, Colibri, or similar)
- SAP or ERP experience required
- FMCG, flavor, chemical, or Food & Beverage industry experience preferred
