Job Description
DCA is a fast-growing progressive consumer products engineering and manufacturing company located in Cupertino, CA. They are seeking a Thermal Product Engineer to work on thermal components and modules design, simulation, and manufacturing using various thermal solutions. The role involves collaboration with engineers, sales teams, and customers, and requires a strong background in thermodynamics and heat transfer principles.
Responsibilities
- Design and simulate thermal components and modules using liquid thermal solutions such as vapor chambers and heat pipes
- Conduct analysis and performance evaluations of multi-phase thermal simulations
- Perform root cause analysis, failure analysis, and data correlation studies related to part tolerances and assembly processes
- Communicate effectively with engineers, sales teams, customers, and executives
- Utilize thermal simulation software such as Comsol, Fluent, and Icepak
Skills
- Experience emphasis is on thermal components and modules design, simulation and manufacturing using liquid thermal solutions such as vapor chambers and heat pipes, and/or semiconductor thermal solutions etc
- Excellent experience and understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer principles and design of thermal systems, components, and performance of multi-phase thermal simulations
- Strong root causes analysis, failure analysis and data analysis and correlation studies related to part tolerances, assembly process, and product performance
- Proficiency with thermal simulation software such as Comsol, Fluent, Icepak and other analysis tools are required
- Very fluent and comfortable communicating with other engineers, sales team, customers, and executives in English
- BSME or related degree
- 1-4 years of professional employment in thermal engineering and product management in automated high-volume manufacturing and assembly processes
- Thermal Engineering: 1 year (Required)
- Consumer Product Engineering: 1 year (Required)
- Thermal simulation software: 1 year (Required)
- Multi-phase thermal simulations: 1 year (Required)
- Ability to Commute: Cupertino, CA 95014 (Required)
- Willingness to travel: 25% (Required)
