Job description: Reeds Spring School District is seeking an accompanist for the High School Band program for the 2024 spring semester. The ideal candidate will accompany all required events participating in district/state solo and ensemble contests, with repertoire varying in style and difficulty. Starting in February 2024, this position would require approximately 2 hours of rehearsal with each event scheduled before or after school with a max of 20 events. Scheduled additional days and times are required for dress rehearsal, district contest, and state contest. Reeds Spring School District functions on a 4-day school week and offers competitive pay.

Qualifications:
1. Capable of preparing music to the point of proficiency prior to the first rehearsal.
2. Playing ability at, or above, accompanying high school musicians.
3. Must submit and pass a background check.
Performance responsibilities:
1. Comes to all rehearsals prepared on each event's repertoire.
2. Is able to lead students in rehearsal, if needed.
3. Is flexible and positive in cooperating with the classroom teacher.
4. Attends and accompanies all events for District and State Solo and Ensemble contests.
