Job Description
CivilGrid is a venture-backed SaaS construction tech company focused on innovating the underground utility sector. The Utility Analyst will be responsible for conducting utility research, communicating with public works offices, and managing data requests to support infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Research utility operations, public works assets, and asset management plans
- Communicate directly with public works offices and utility asset owners by email and phone
- Interpret maps, as-built drawings, and engineering plans at a basic level
- Track communications in internal applications
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about progress of requests and digitization
Skills
- Bachelor's degree (completed or graduating December 2025 or May 2026)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to spend significant time communicating with external entities/organizations
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated, ability to operate independently working remotely
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Experience with reading utility maps, as-built drawings, and engineering plans at a basic level
- Experience working with utilities and/or government agencies
- Experience researching and working with open source data
