With an established presence at Target and a rapidly growing Walmart Connect advertising practice, we are now launching our full-service Walmart division — and we’re looking for the leader to build it.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a ground-floor leadership opportunity for a retail commerce executive who wants to own something. As Voyageur Group’s first Vice President of Walmart, you will establish and lead our Walmart division from Bentonville/Northwest Arkansas — the epicenter of the world’s largest retailer. You will serve as our head of Walmart sales, helping brands launch and scale at Walmart, while also building the operational infrastructure, team, and client base that will define this division’s future.

We already operate Walmart Connect advertising campaigns and analytics work for select clients. This role takes us to the next level: a comprehensive, full-service offering covering omnichannel retail strategy, Walmart Connect retail media, Walmart Luminate/Scintilla data insights, item setup, supply chain coordination, and beyond.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Division Leadership

  • Build and lead Voyageur Group’s Walmart division from the ground up, establishing processes, a team, and a portfolio of brand clients
  • Serve as the senior-most Walmart expert within Voyageur Group, shaping strategy and elevating capabilities across the organization
  • Partner directly with Voyageur Group’s CEO and leadership team to define the Walmart division’s vision, goals, and growth roadmap
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a growing team of Walmart-focused account managers, analysts, and media specialists

Sales & Client Growth

  • Drive new business development by identifying, pitching, and closing brand clients seeking best-in-class Walmart representation
  • Act as the primary point of contact between Voyageur Group’s clients and their Walmart merchant, modular, and supply chain teams
  • Develop and deliver strategic sales plans, assortment strategies, and item roadmaps to accelerate client growth at Walmart
  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) processes and senior-level meetings with Walmart buyers and category directors on behalf of clients
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships into new categories, channels (1P, 3P, DSV), and services

Walmart Connect & Retail Media

  • Work closely with our existing Retail Media team to connect our best In class Walmart Connect advertising practice to best-in-class retail services and sales representation.
  • Incorporate Voyageur Group’s retail media team into operational practices for our Walmart division that help brand succeed by having a media + sales purview and strategy.

Analytics & Insights

  • Leverage Walmart Luminate (Scintilla) and Data Ventures insights to drive client decision-making around inventory, pricing, promotion, and assortment
  • Build reporting frameworks that translate omnichannel data — in-store and ecommerce — into clear, actionable intelligence for clients
  • Partner with Voyageur Group’s analytics team to deliver supply chain and business management insights that improve clients’ overall performance at Walmart

Operational Excellence

  • Project manage all facets of client business at Walmart, including item setup (Item 360, 1WorldSync), content optimization, modular strategy, and supply chain coordination
  • Navigate the full spectrum of Walmart selling models (1P Supplier/Vendor, 3P Marketplace, Drop Ship Vendor) and advise clients on the optimal structure for their business
  • Ensure flawless execution across the end-to-end retail cycle: ranging, pricing, promotional planning, in-stock, and on-shelf availability

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5–10+ years of experience working directly with Walmart, ideally based in or closely connected to Bentonville/Northwest Arkansas
  • Deep knowledge of Walmart’s buying process, merchant organization, modular and planogram strategy, and omnichannel retail ecosystem
  • Proven track record in a sales leadership role — whether as a national accounts lead, Walmart team lead, or sales agency executive
  • Hands-on experience with Retail Link, Walmart Luminate, and/or SupplierLink
  • Strong existing relationships with Walmart merchants, category directors, or Walmart Leadership teams is a significant plus
  • Entrepreneurial operator who thrives in a build-it-from-scratch environment and is energized by the opportunity to lead
  • Excellent communicator and relationship-builder with the ability to represent Voyageur Group credibly at the senior-most levels of both client and Walmart organizations
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, remote-first environment with a results-over-process mindset

LOCATION

This role is based in the Bentonville / Northwest Arkansas area — proximity to Walmart’s Home Office is essential. Voyageur Group operates as a remote-first company, and while our broader team is distributed, we believe NWA presence is a competitive advantage for this role and our clients.
