Job Description
The New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association (NHADA) is a statewide trade organization dedicated to supporting the motor vehicle industry in New Hampshire. The Workforce Development Coordinator plays a key role in promoting automotive careers by engaging students, educators, and industry partners, while strengthening connections between education and local dealerships and repair facilities.
Responsibilities
- Promote automotive careers to middle and high school students across New Hampshire
- Conduct school visits, classroom presentations, career fairs, and community events
- Support both secondary and post-secondary automotive education programs
- Educate students on career pathways, employment opportunities, internships, and higher education options within the state
- Build and maintain relationships with local dealerships, repair shops, schools, and educators
- Connect students with employers for internships, apprenticeships, and entry-level employment
- Serve as a liaison between education providers and the automotive industry
- Coordinate and support multiple events throughout the year, including career fairs, meetings, and outreach initiatives
- Assist with oversight and administration of scholarships
- Support NHAEF and NHADA workforce development initiatives
- Prepare budgets, track program expenses, and ensure responsible use of funds
- Collect data and prepare reports for leadership, funders, and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all workforce programs
- Transport and set up the Automotive Career Exploration Trailer at schools and events
- Ensure safe towing and operation of the trailer (trailer towing experience preferred)
- Travel extensively throughout New Hampshire
- Attend early morning school visits and evening meetings and events
- Manage a flexible schedule with occasional late nights and early mornings
Skills
- Strong interest in workforce development, education, and career pathways
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups of students, educators, and industry professionals
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel statewide and maintain a flexible schedule
- Automotive or related industry experience
- Teaching, training, or educational outreach experience
- Event coordination experience
- Experience towing trailers or willingness to learn
