Billing & Bonus: They do bonuses based on Collaborative quarterly billing. The Lawyer can combine their billables with their legal assistant to hit higher numbers.
Responsibilities:
Legal Representation:
Provide effective and strategic legal defense to clients in workers' compensation cases.
Conduct legal research and analysis to build strong case strategies.
Case Management:
Manage a caseload of workers' compensation files from inception to resolution.
Attend hearings, mediations, and depositions on behalf of clients.
Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Client Communication:
Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case developments.
Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and develop appropriate legal strategies.
Legal Compliance:
Stay abreast of changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.
Ensure legal compliance in all aspects of case management.
Negotiation and Settlement:
Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers.
Evaluate settlement offers and advise clients on the best course of action.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
Proven experience as a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney.
Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws, regulations, and case precedents.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $200,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
